Crew Comments

Adam has been a keen sailor from a very young age. His sailing and powerboating life started from the age of 6 which created a passion to race in both sports. From the ages of 12 to 16, Adam represented the SE region of England for team GBR within the Zone Squads and raced in powerboats gaining plenty of podiums trophies and medals along the way. After completing his diploma in HGV mechanics, Adam went onto successfully complete his Yachtmaster Offshore qualification in winter 2015. This opened many doors for the yachting industry, from here he chose to take the path of flotilla Skipper to kick start his career. The beginning of his first season is when he met Kate and from there, their continued success together inspired them to aim for a position within The Moorings.

Kate has a passion for food and travel. Having been lucky enough to explore many different countries, she has enjoyed a very international culinary adventure- which tickled her taste buds to explore food further. She began sailing with her family from a young age and decided to turn the hobby into a job by becoming a flotilla hostess. For Kate, the next stage of progression was to work, alongside Adam, for The Moorings. In order to pursue this dream, she set about obtaining her Intermediate level certificate from Dublin Cookery School, after which she began working in a gastro-pub near her home in the UK. As always, Adam was supporting her journey every step of the way and even worked at the same gastro-pub as front of house.

Together our goal is to ensure that every person who sets sail with us has an unforgettable holiday for all the right reasons. We want to help you create memories to take with you into the future and make you excited to return in the future to enjoy the same magnificent experience for years to come.
